We serve homeowners, cottage owners, and rural properties throughout Renfrew County and the Ottawa Valley region.
Our licensed contractors are based locally and familiar with the specific geology, water depths, and permit requirements in each area.
As the county seat and largest city in Renfrew County, Pembroke is our primary service hub. Both municipal water and private wells exist here β many homeowners on the outskirts and in surrounding Laurentian Valley rely on drilled wells. Typical well depths: 80β180 feet.
Adjacent to Pembroke and home to CFB Petawawa, the Petawawa area has significant residential development on well water. Shield bedrock is relatively shallow here. We service all residential and rural properties in Petawawa and the surrounding township.
The Town of Renfrew sits along the Bonnechere River and has a mix of municipal and private well users. Properties outside the town core and in McNab/Braeside Township are predominantly on well water. Good water availability at moderate depths.
Arnprior and the surrounding McNab/Braeside area sits at the eastern edge of Renfrew County. Rural properties throughout this area rely on drilled wells. Proximity to the Ottawa River means some areas have excellent water yield at reasonable depths.
Deep River is one of the more remote communities in Renfrew County, situated north of Chalk River along the Ottawa River. The surrounding area is heavily rural with most properties on well water. Some areas require deeper drilling through hard Shield granite.
Barry's Bay and the Madawaska Valley are popular for cottages and rural homesteading. Well drilling demand here is strong for both year-round residents and seasonal property owners. Our contractors know the local geology well β water depths and quality vary significantly across this region.
Located on the Bonnechere River, Eganville serves as a hub for southern Renfrew County. The surrounding area of South Algona Wilberforce, Golden Lake First Nation area, and Admaston/Bromley townships all have significant well water populations.
Cobden is the urban centre of Whitewater Region, surrounded by productive agricultural land and rural residential properties. Well water is the norm throughout this area. Slightly different geology from the northern Shield areas β some areas have sand/gravel aquifers in addition to bedrock wells.
The Chalk River area β known for Chalk River Laboratories β is predominantly rural residential with most properties on private well water. Hard Canadian Shield bedrock requires diamond rotary drilling. Experienced contractors know the local formations well.
Killaloe and the surrounding area of Bonnechere Valley Township serves as a gateway to cottage country. Heavy seasonal population plus year-round rural residents create consistent demand for well drilling and pump services. Our contractors serve this area regularly.

Renfrew County is one of the most rural counties in Ontario, with a large proportion of properties relying entirely on private well water. Unlike urban areas with municipal treatment, rural Renfrew County homeowners are responsible for their own water supply β which means proper drilling, maintenance, and testing matters enormously.
Most of Renfrew County sits on the Canadian Shield β ancient Precambrian granite and gneiss. This means:
The southern townships (Arnprior, Cobden, McNab/Braeside areas) transition toward the St. Lawrence Lowlands geology, with some areas featuring sand and gravel aquifers in addition to bedrock. Shallower wells are more common here, and some properties can access good water at 60β100 feet.
The Deep River, Chalk River, and northern townships are more rugged Shield terrain. Wells here often require more depth β 200β400 feet is not unusual β and the hard granite can slow drilling. Our contractors bring the right equipment for these challenging but rewarding locations.
